Story

Alda was born in Ala Mhigo at the end of the war but fled with his uncle to Kugane at a young age. Through his uncle's connections and influence, he received a prestigious education and became a professionally trained actor. Through both his talent and his exotic appearance, at the height of his popularity, he became a well-known fixture of the Kugane art scene.Digging around a little, it would not be hard to find out that while Alda seems mostly truthful about his history as a performer in Kugane, one would quickly soon realise that the best days of his career appear to be behind him at this point.Still, that does not stop Alda from living large, nor has it diminished many of the talents he's honed in pursuit of his craft such as acting, dancing, and gymnastics.Despite how much of his life appears so public, there are still many a mystery that surround him and his past.

Alda owns a rather menacing pet who rarely leaves his side- a fearsome Coeurl named Rama! He swears Rama is completely tame but the beast still may strike fear in the hearts of many.

Ala Mhigan Royalty?

The rumour that Alda is an Ala Mhigan prince in hiding is perhaps the worst-kept secret in all of Kugane. Many in the city know this rumour well, and though Alda will neither confirm nor deny anything, he does have a surprising amount of knowledge that would lend credibility to this idea.

Stolen Advantages

Perhaps more because of his public persona than despite it, there are many who believe that Alda got to where he is through his body rather than just his talents. While Alda denies this, it is quite curious how his denials always happen to be strangely specific.

More than Meets the Eye

While a talented gymnast, Alda always makes himself out to be dainty, and otherwise rather inept. It fits the image of a sheltered noble who's not had to face much physical hardship, after all. So how is it that when push comes to shove, not only does Alda display a shrewdness and level of skill one would not expect from him in menial labour and tasks, but his skills in hand-to-hand combat are frighteningly impressive?

Probably not a prince

There is a portion of Alda's life that is almost entirely unverifiable and is a mystery to most... Coincidentially, if you seek out monks of Rhalgr, they may tell you a story about a gifted young pupil sent to them around that time whose aptitude for combat was surpassed only by his fascination with the Ala Mhigan royal family. They may tell you how the boy poured over the troves of literature the monks had kept on the royals. If only they knew where that boy was now.

...or is he?

Although Alda may play coy with the idea of his potential heritage, the man Alda called his uncle on the other hand takes the matter incredibly seriously and aggressively calls such ideas rumours. But why is it then, that among the most prized possessions of his uncle are what would be determined to be personal effects belonging to the late queen of Ala Mhigo, and an emblem that would mark the owner as a ranked officer of the Corpse Brigade?
